Alumni Update: 1st Alumni General Assembly

Mr. Wilson Young, the Vice-Chairman of the UERMMMCI invited the alumni of the Colleges of Physical Therapy, Medicine, Nursing and Graduate School for the First Alumni General Assembly. It was held in the UERM Canteen.

No decisions were made. Dr. Divinaracia gave a presentation on what really transpired during the recent disaster that made UERM infamous in youtube. Yes, those were cars floating and banging to each other in the UERM parking lot. No, the flood did not reach the 3rd floor. Mr. Young followed by giving a presentation of the current measures and future plans for the Hospital and Colleges.

All alumni are invited to a grand homecoming on January 2010. Please keep posted for details.

Included among those in attendance were Dr. Eric Tayag, Dr. Battad, the President of the Medicine Alumni Association: Dr. Borromeo, the College of Nursing: Ms. Luisa Uayan, and our very own: Ms. Fria Rose Santos.

Alumni Alert! Richmond Li

The days from October 19 – 21 are part of the final examinations which was made lighter by the visit of one of our dear alumni: Mr. Richmond Li. Graduated in 1999, he now works as a director in one of the skilled nursing facilities in New York. He took time between exams to talk to a group of students from different year levels about his experiences and views of a Filipino PT’s life abroad.

Known in some circles as, “yung isang Richmond,” Mr. Li is one of the avid donors to the College of Physical Therapy.

Regarding Email about Ma'am Penny

An unscrupulous e-mail regarding Ma'am Penny's whereabouts and "plight" has been
circulating. Please do not give any information to the sender who is not in any
way connected with Ma'am Penny or to the UERM College of PT. Ma'am Penny is well
and is in the Philippines. Please pass this information to other alumni.
